The Small Business Growth Alliance (SBGA) recently donated $1,000 to the local Three Square Food Bank in an effort to combat hunger insecurity in the state of Nevada. The donation is another in SBGA’s years-long philanthropic efforts, which include their other recent 2026 donation to the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada.
Food insecurity across the state of Nevada has only worsened in recent years, with estimates stating that it affects approximately 15% of Nevada residents—or nearly 482,000 people. This number is slightly higher than the national average across the United States of 14%. On top of that, an estimated one in four children across the state is affected by food insecurity, which is also slightly above the national average.
The donation from SBGA and the continued efforts from Three Square food bank will seek to help those affected by food insecurity in an era when inflation is only worsening the food crisis. Families across America are increasingly skipping meals, reducing meal size, or opting for cheaper and less healthy alternatives. In this sense, every donation—whether small or large—to food banks and organizations like Three Square helps.
SBGA also chips in by providing volunteers for food packing involvement alongside Community Action Partnership. This valuable donation of time assists the organization in quickening the delivery of food to food banks and those who need it most.
Philanthropy has been a core tenet of SBGA’s philosophy since its founding. On top of providing small business owners with necessary resources and avenues of support, the company believes in both corporate giving and the giving of time and talent from its trusted team members.
Over the past several decades, the Small Business Growth Alliance has donated upwards of $300,000 to charitable organizations across the United States. These organizations include the local Boys & Girls Club, the Humane Society, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Doctors Without Borders, and the Make-A-Wish-Foundation®. They have also assisted the Armed Services YMCA and donated hundreds of Christmas gifts to organizations that help children in foster care.
